Pyrrosia piloselloides - Tall Form

Pyrrosia piloselloides Tall Form is a cool micro fern from Southeast Asia and Malaysia. It has waxy green fronds that are abnormally tall, hence the name. It spreads via a creeping rhizome. This plant does well epiphityically and and a ground sprawler. Like other micro ferns (microferns), it is slow to grow. It does well in moderate, indirect light and high humidity. Moist soil and moist but not wet sphagnum moss are helpful for rooting this species.

All of our cuttings have adventitious, aerial roots. Our rooted specimens will have at least a few active roots and will be established plants. Our plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment.
